This year, I took what I can only describe as a sacred pause in my writing and work.
Sometimes, a pause is necessary.
For me, that pause began when my mother’s cancer returned with a vengeance. I made the choice to pivot — to step away from work and be fully present with her. On June 29th, she passed.
It was a special and deeply sad season — one filled with love, memories, and moments I will forever cherish. I’m grateful I took that time to care for her and walk beside her in those final months.
In the stillness that follows loss, something begins to shift. The heaviness starts to lift, and a new kind of clarity begins to emerge — a clarity about what truly matters and where we want to invest our precious energy.
Back in the Saddle
Now, I find myself back in the saddle, looking ahead to the coming year with renewed focus and heart.
I’m taking a fresh look at my own Soleful business with horses — revisiting what feels aligned, what’s evolving, and what’s calling for renewal.
Change is constant — in business, in life, and in the work we do alongside our horses. Major life events have a way of stripping away the noise and revealing what’s essential.
This is my refresh moment.
